The Canadian Ambassadors Hockey Club has a history dating back to 1981 when a group of Winnipeg hockey players with international hockey playing experience decided to head to Germany to play in five friendly exhibition games against Third Division (Oberliga) German hockey teams. The Ambassadors were born! Since then, the team has played regularly in senior hockey leagues in Winnipeg and have returned to play in exhibition games in Germany in 1985 and again in 1988. Over the team's rich and storied 29 year history, it has recruited some great hockey players. There have been more than 65 players who have suited up in the Ambassadors "red & white" jerseys. More importantly, it has developed life long friendships. Once an Ambassador, always an Ambassador!  |
